Telephones, 1995 - Christian Marclay
"Desde mediados de la década de los 90, Christian Marclay ha venido ampliando los registros y medios de sus experimentos y collages de imágenes y sonidos. En 1995, realizó una de sus piezas más conocidas y aclamadas, Telephones, un vídeo donde el artista recogió y editó diferentes escenas de películas clásicas en las que los personajes realizan y responden a llamadas telefónicas para crear un ensamblaje visual y sónico del fracaso comunicativo."

UNbalanced - Nicole Evans y PatFarrell
"Como parte del proyecto Uncommon Common Art en Nova Scotia, la escritora Nicole Evans y At Farrell crearon Unbalanced, una serie de instalaciones de puertas que generan la ilusión de que las puertas te llevan a algún lugar, o a ninguno, o podría ser que a otra dimensión, no lo sabemos."

"These outdoor door installations by Nicole Evans and Pat Farrell are part of Uncommon Common Art, an annual art treasure hunt of sorts in Kings County, Nova Scotia.
Uncommon Common Art is a community, environmental art project produced by the Alliance of Kings Artist (AKA). This project is designed to highlight two of Kings County’s greatest assets – the abundance of creative people who live here and the beautiful environment that is the Minas Basin. The idea for this project came from the joy of finding unexpected creations while exploring nature. Involvement is not limited to professional artists or to just visual art.
For the past few years Evans and Farrell have created a different door installation, resulting in these colorful stacked portals that seem to go to nowhere."

Change of look / cambio de aspecto

"Gregory Crewdson (American, b.1962) is best known for his photographs, which feature elaborately staged, surreal tableaus of suburban life. Born in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, Crewdson played in a punk rock band as a teenager, before attending the State University of New York, Purchase, where he earned his BFA. After completing his MFA at Yale University in 1988, Crewdson began working on the first of his many lengthy photographic series, Natural Wonder, picturing highly-constructed scenes that show the grotesque narratives of paranoia, lust, and fantasy that are played out in suburbia. Crewdson’s subsequent series, Hover (1995) and Twilight (2003), document dramatic and strange occurrences within typical middle-class neighborhoods, creating bizarre and unsettling scenes within fairly ordinary settings. Since 1993, Crewdson has served as a professor at Yale University, where he continues to teach and work today. Crewdson’s photographs have proven to be successful both in and outside of gallery settings; in addition to numerous shows at White Cube gallery, London, his work has been used in HBO advertisements and trailers for the popular television series, Six Feet Under (2001–2005)."
